Student Visas
If you are a non-UK national aged 16 or older and plan to study in the UK for 6 months or more you will normally need a Student Visa.
You will need to have an unconditional offer to study from a licensed sponsor to be eligible for this visa and have obtained a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from your licensed school, college or university.

You must also:

have enough funds to support yourself (also known as meeting the financial maintenance requirements) and to pay your tuition fees (for at least the first year if your course is more than 1 year long)

be able to read, write, speak and listen in English at a required level and demonstrate this in one of the ways set out by UK Visas & Immigration (also known as demonstrating your sufficient knowledge of English)

pay the visa application fee and Immigration Health Surcharge

require an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate if you are studying specific subjects

need consent from your parent(s) or legal guardians if you are under 18 years old

require tuberculosis (TB) test results if you are from certain countries

be able to bring dependants with you (like your spouse, partner or children) but this will depend on the course duration and level
